News Minute: Here is the latest New York news from The Associated Press

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - GOP gubernatorial hopeful Rob Astorino won't be getting any campaign help from New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, Astorino says other GOP governors have pledged they'll help his campaign. They include Rick Perry of Texas and Bobby Jindal of Louisiana -- both considered to have presidential aspirations.

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - A New York immigration group says close to 3,300 unaccompanied immigrant children have come to New York since January, with perhaps 7,000 more expected over the coming months. The New York Immigration Coalition says most of the children are fleeing gang violence in Central America.

RAY BROOK, N.Y. (AP) - A pickup truck driver has been charged in a crash yesterday afternoon in the Adirondacks that killed a couple and injured their daughter. State police haven't identified the driver but say the crash came as he was fleeing police for another accident. Kim and James Barney of Potsdam were killed and their 11-year-old daughter is in critical condition.

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - State labor officials say investigators have recovered and paid out more than $16.4 million in wages and damages owed to more than 21,000 workers cheated out of their proper pay and benefits. The Labor Department also wrapped up investigations of nearly 5,000 cases over the first half of the year, thanks to operational changes.
