Woman describes her battle with a hair pulling disorder

Trichotillomania is the irresistible urge to pull out one's hair at the root and, in extreme cases, to eat it. Millions suffer from this disorder.

We chased trichotillomania to Wall Township where we met Louise Damiano-Gavigan and her 8-year-old daughter, Autumn.

Louise, 43, was a high-fashion jewelry designer and manufacturer in Manhattan. Louise and her jewelry designs have been featured in fashion shows and in Town and Country magazine. She once did a fashion show in Miami with Valentino.

Eventually she lost her business and as a result of the stress, she started pullIing her hair out and did so for years before she was diagnosed with trichotillomania. Find out how she's been able to fight it.
