Local drum corps trying to get to world championships

- They call themselves the Free Players Drum Corps.

They're the first special needs drum corps to exist in the world. Based in Old Bethpage, NY, they were founded in 2010 and since then have left quite the mark. They've performed at Walt Disney World and in NYC's Columbus Day Parade, to name a few. But, they now have their sights set on the world stage, the 2018 Drum Corps World Championships.

They're the first special needs band to be invited to perform. The only problem? They need $65,000 to travel to the event, which will be held in Indianapolis. To donate visit www.gofundme.com/freedrumcorps
