Indoor skydiving

iFly in Yonkers NY is an indoor skydiving facility that allows people to feel like they're freefalling. iFly opened its first location in 1999 and now has over 37 locations worldwide.

Andrew Konetchy, the lead fly instructor, explained how it works.

"It's four fans that are actually above us. It's blowing it all the way around the building and it's coming up underneath. Then it compresses as it gets in the glass & that's what we actually fly on," Konetchy said.

Even though a majority of the flyers are first-timers, many skydivers train in these places. During the off season, they'll pair with an instructor and learn how they can continue to get better.

iFly offers birthday parties, corporate events and field trips with a focus on math and science.
