Heroin problems grip New Jersey

Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey visited Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch on Tuesday to discuss the state's battle against addiction.

Heroin addiction has become a national epidemic, specifically impacting New Jersey. In January, Christie pledged $100 million to combat the crisis, promising to spend more money on mental health and substance abuse.

Now, months later, Christie says the money has been well spent in helping to get many addicts into treatment.
