Locked up and innocent

Locked up for 17 years in state prison and innocent, that's what happened to Rodney Roberts.

We got an exclusive interview with the Newark nativein front of the state prison in Rahway where he lost 17 years of his life for a rape he didn't commit.

"It is my worst nightmare being back here, being this close to the facility. I promised myself I'd never come nowhere near this building because of what was done to me [...] it's like coming back to a gravesite," Roberts said.

Rodney was actually advised by his public defendant to plead guilty to the rape he didn't do. He spent 17 years in jail before being exonerated by DNA evidence.
