Newark lead concern

The water crisis at Newark Public Schools continues to escalate as new information emerges that the district turned down help offered by the EPA in 2003 after elevated lead levels were discovered in several schools.

Gov. Chris Christie said, "I have no idea what the circumstances were of Governor McGreevy's refusal to accept that help in 2003 or whoever it was within the schools in 2003."
