FWC: Alligator hunter bitten in leg in Seville

- The Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission said a man was bitten in the leg by an alligator Sunday morning.

He's been identified as Kemp Galleneau and was treated and released form Florida Hospital DeLand.

The incident happened at the Pine Island Resort at 1600 Lake George Road in Seville around 9:45 a.m.

Officials said Galleneau was hunting alligators, and while he was tagging one next to his boat, he fell overboard and the gator bit him.

Officials said Galleneau was bit in the calf and taken to a local hospital for treatment.

A trapper was called and the alligator was killed.
