Time-lapse video: National Mall crowds for pope

Thousands of people gathered in the National Mall in Washington, D.C., to catch a glimpse of Pope Francis, who is visiting the United States this week. The U.S. Department of the Interior shared a short time-lapse video of the crowds gathering. Much of the historic National Mall area is under the jurisdiction of the National Park Service, which is part of the Department of the Interior.
