Pope Francis 'selfie' is reportedly fake

- A 'selfie' of Pope Francis that quickly went viral Monday is reportedly fake. The photo was posted to an Instagram account with the handle @Vatican_ .

However, the official Instagram account for the Holy See is @NewsVa.

According to the NY Daily News, the photo was from a Google+ Hangout the Holy Father took part in earlier this year and was not a photo he had taken of himself and shared on social media.
