Men who eat salad smell more enticing to women

- According to new research, men who eat salads smell more enticing to women.

A study published in Evolution and Human Behavior looked at how diet affects male body odor- and attractiveness to potential mates. Researchers in Sydney, Australia had 9 women smell sweat collected from 43 different men. Gross, but done in the name of science and for the greater good!

The women reported that the sweat from men who ate the most fruits and vegetables smelled the sweetest, and even alluringly floral.

But there’s no need to go vegan. Men who ate proteins like meat, eggs, and tofu also had an odor that the women deemed quite pleasant.

No, it was the men with carbohydrate heavy diets who smelled least appealing to the women.

The researchers believe it’s because a man’s body odor can serve as an indicator of his overall health. A diet rich in fruits and vegetables is good for your body, and it turns out, women can smell it.
