What can humans learn from pigs about optimism?

- We know optimists are healthier, happier, and destined to live longer. Optimists are surely delighted by these findings- but what about pessimists? No, they aren’t doomed to be the victims of a self-fulfilling prophecy. Ever the optimists, we believe that being aware of the reasoning behind our feelings means that we have the power to change them.

Psychologists believe our outlook is determined by both our personality (which is constant) and our mood (which is affected by our environment.) If you want to feel more optimistic- look no further than the barnyard.
