91-year-old woman serves as flower girl at wedding

A flower girl’s primary duty is to look adorable and scatter flower petals before the bride walks down the aisle. But what age is too old?  Nine? Nineteen? How about 91?

Gaetana Ramagnano, also known as “Tina,” was asked to be the “Queen of Flowers” at the wedding of her great nephew. She initially thought they meant bridesmaid, but once it was explained, she loved the idea.

Tina told FOX 29, "I was thrilled. I thought, ‘Whoever heard of that?’ And I thought it was funny and I just kept telling everybody that I should be in the Guinness book as the oldest flower girl in history!"

It’s been a long time since she last walked down the aisle, but the widow of eight years didn’t disappoint. She bought herself a pretty pink dress and hat, and elicited quite a response from the crowd.

"Coming down and everyone says, 'It's Aunt Tina!' You heard this big loud whisper in the whole audience! I was delighted. I was absolutely so excited about the whole thing," she said.

All hail the queen of flowers.
