San Francisco Museum Will Text You Art On Demand

We pretty much live in the future. The tiny computer you carry in your pocket can be used to buy stuff, give you a ride and now it will even curate the perfect piece of art for you.

The San Francisco Museum of Art has announced a new feature where you can text the museum to view pieces of their collection from your phone.

The project will deliver art on any topic you can imagine...all you have to do is ask.

How the project works is simple, you text 572-51 with the words “Send Me” followed by a keyword that tells the program what you want to see.

With the right search term you can access any of the art from their 34,678-item collection without ever having to get out of bed.

So the next time someone’s giving you a hard time about being on your phone, tell them to back off, you’re using your technology to be a patron of the arts.
