Stranger who lost grandson gives toddler $20 for toys in Target

To a kid, walking down a store’s toy aisle is a joy. To a mom, it might mean an extra $10 or a temper tantrum. But at a Target in Fort Smith, Oklahoma, something beautiful happened.

Alyssa Hacker and her son Owen were out shopping when the toddler found some toy dinosaurs on a store shelf. He grabbed all three that he liked, but had to choose only one to take home.

While contemplating who his new dinosaur friend would be, Owen said “hi” to a man passing by. Soon he joined Owen in playing with the dinosaurs.

Alyssa said in a Facebook post, “With this crazy world we live in I was a little hesitant as to how close he was with Owen.”

But what happened next brought the mother to tears. The man put $20 in Owen’s shirt pocket, and told Alyssa, “I just lost my 2-year-old grandson last week. You take this money and buy this boy all three dinosaurs.”

He wiped away his tears and walked off. Alyssa continued in her Facebook post, “There is still some good in this world!"

Clean up on aisle three...and the internet. The touching story has been shared over 130,000 times. Watch the video to see Owen and his dinosaurs.
