Shooting leaves 1 dead, 3 wounded in Newark

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - A shooting left a female dead and three males wounded in New Jersey's largest city.

Newark police say the gunfire rang out on South 19th Street around 5:45 p.m. Monday.

The female died at a hospital and police say the males sustained wounds that are not considered life-threatening.

Authorities have not released the names of the victims.

The investigation is ongoing.
