Little boy calls Atlanta police officer after watching protests on television

- William Smiley is the son of Officer Shawn Smiley who was killed in 2012 in a helicopter crash has he and his partner searched for a missing child.

William, who is 9-years-old, saw the protest on television and grabbed his mom's phone telling her that he wanted to call Miss Kim to "tell her to be safe."

Officer Jones responded by thanking William for thinking of her. She went on to say that she was grateful that he felt compelled to reach out to her. Officer Jones also stated, "I love you and never forget that. He has the perfect last name and the prettiest smile.”
