Pope Francis wax figure causes stir in NYC

- A wax figure of Pope Francis created by Madame Tussauds wax museum was unveiled on Thursday during Good Day New York.

The Times Square museum reportedly spent four months getting the figure just right, and apparently it was good enough to cause a police investigation.

After the Fox 5 appearance, they took the wax Pope Francis on a tour of the city in an open white convertible SUV. They took it through Central Park, like the real-life pope plans, and up Seventh Avenue before heading to the museum.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the NYPD investigated the vehicle, which was causing traffic delays as people flocked to it to take selfies. After determining that the wax figure was a new part of the Madame Tussauds collection, the vehicle was allowed to go on its way.

And because the wax figure is so life-like, some people posting photos of it on their social media accounts had friends thinking it was the real pope!
