2 dead following suspected murder-suicide in Scottsdale

- Investigators are gathering evidence from a home in Scottsdale on Monday, after an apparent murder-suicide left two elderly people dead.

Scottsdale police say the husband and wife, identified as 67-year-old Mark Gustafson and 72-year-old Nancy Metz, were found dead by a family friend.

Investigators believe Gustafson shot his wife as she slept and then turned the gun on himself.

The couple had no prior history with police.

Neighbors said the couple had plans to go to Mexico on Tuesday.
