Most diets shun alcohol. Well, there's a new doc in town, and he says drink up!
Dr. Orlando Gonzalez, a sports medicine doctor, created LIFE*MOD, a program that actually encourages you to drink.
Once a month, clients come together to attend an event called "Dinner with the Doc" where they discuss healthy living tips while having great food and drinks.
"LIFE*MOD is an anti-aging, wellness, obesity management program," he explains. The diet incorporates lifestyle changes including blood tests and body mass index tests.
While alcohol is included in the diet, Dr. Gonzalez says the suggested amount of intake is different for every client. "The studies have shown that people who drink on a moderate basis regularly seem to be healthier than people who don't drink at all."
And what's even better for you than beer? Whiskey! Dr. Gonzalez says the idea is getting extremely popular and is getting back to the way everyone should really live their lives.
