Monday marks 74th anniversary of Pearl Harbor attack

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - Monday, December 7 marks the 74th anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attack.

On December 7, 1941, Japan launched a surprise attack on the US Naval base, killing more than 2,400 people. 

The Navy and the National Park Service will cohost a remembrance event at Joint Base Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. The Hyman G. Rickover Naval Academy in Chicago is also holding a ceremony Monday afternoon.
