Restaurant chains charging big bucks for ball drop

- Many local restaurants are throwing parties to ring in 2016.

In Times Square, the center of all the action, restaurant chains are jacking up their prices for proximity to the ball drop.

Ruby Tuesday is charging $349 per person and $1699 per couple for a VIP table.

Tickets are reportedly sold out at Olive Garden for $350 per person but their famous bread sticks are not included.

Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. has reportedly sold out its dining tickets for $779 per person.

The only deal to be had might be outside where viewing the ball drop is free.
