Community comes together to help a family of five in Randolph, NJ

In the middle of the night on May 24, a house at 7 South Road in Randolph was engulfed in flames. The Aschenbrenner family experienced a tragedy when their home in Randolph was destroyed in a fire. The family has lost virtually all of their belongings.

Sabra and John Aschenbrenner, along with their three young children, were away from home when this happened; they are all safe. Sadly, the family dog Bogey perished in the fire.

It took about three hours (2 a.m. to 5 a.m.) and neighboring town firehouses for assistance to extinguish the fire, according to neighbors. Several firefighters went to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
