NASA offering six-figure salary for 'Planetary Protection Officer' position

There's a job opening at NASA and it sounds like a job for guardians of the galaxy.

NASA is taking job applications for the position of 'Planetary Protection Officer.'

Candidates must already be familiar with planet protection.

Another must:  Top secret security clearance to make sure no unknown organic matter stows away on a spaceship returning to Earth.

There are mundane responsibilities too, including keeping NASA brass up-to-date on 'aliens' and come up with new protection standards.

A fourth grader has already applied for the job.

According to little Jack Davis, he's seen almost all movies about aliens and space, and he's good at video games.

He also hopes to see 'Men in Black' soon, and learn how to think like an alien.

The job pays between $124K- $187K per year.
