South Brunswick Police Catch Pizza Man During Alleged Burglary

It wasn't just a tip a local Papa John's Pizza manager was looking for when he allegedly tried to break into a Matthew Avenue home Saturday afternoon.

South Brunswick Police received a 911 call at 12:47 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, reporting that someone was attempting to break into a home.

The resident of the home, a woman in her 70s, said she was in her living room when she heard her doorbell ring.

She then noticed a young man walking to the rear of her home and then try to push open a window, Capt. Jim Ryan said Monday. The resident also told police that she was home alone and did not recognize the suspect.
