Cowboys player Damien Wilson arrested outside Frisco's Toyota Stadium

- Dallas Cowboys linebacker Damien Wilson was arrested Tuesday night in a parking lot at Toyota Stadium in Frisco.

Frisco police said Wilson was taken into custody and faces two charges aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Wilson is accused of intentionally backing his truck into a woman while parking and then pulling out a rifle on a man in the parking lot. There was an FC Dallas game at the stadium Tuesday and fireworks show after the game.

Wilson was released from the Frisco jail after posting bond.

"We are aware of the situation and we are in the process of gathering information," the Cowboys said in a statement. "We will not have a comment at this time."

FC Dallas said it was aware of "an incident that occurred in the parking lot" at the stadium, but declined to say anything further.

The Cowboys have had their fair share of off-field incidents attracting negative attention this offseason.

Running back Ezekiel Elliott, who is under investigation by the NFL for a domestic violence incident from 2016, faced backlash after pulling down a woman's shirt during the Dallas St. Patrick's Day Parade. Elliott was also involved in a car accident in Uptown Dallas. Defensive back Nolan Carroll was arrested for a DWI in May.

"Here we go again," Cowboys fan Marylou Delarosa said. "We're starting off bad and we need to get it together."

With pass rusher David Irving being suspended four games for violating the NFL substance abuse policy, the Dallas defense cannot afford many more losses.

"We need all the help we can get on defense," Cowboys fan Walter Coreas said. "For sure we need linebackers most of all."

Wilson joined the Cowboys roster in 2015 and started five games during the 2016 season. The 24-year-old played college football at the University of Minnesota.
