(AP) — Heat-related advisories were in effect for most of New Jersey on
Saturday, as residents braced for a nasty mix of scorching temperatures
and high humidity.
Residents were urged to stay indoors in
air-conditioned areas if possible, while cooling centers were being set
up at schools and other community sites. Many people planned to go to
malls or movie theaters in a bid to stay cool.
