Handicap Parking Fraud

Posted: Updated:
Trenton, New Jersey (My9NJ) -

One Chaser looks into possible parking abuse in Trenton, New Jersey where some State Workers are accused of using handicapped placards in their cars so they don't have to pay.  Rows and rows of cars are seen with handicap placards in front of expires meters on a daily basis.  Who are these people parking their cars like this? Are they really handicapped?

Well what one Chaser discovered will shock you.  She caught up with one guy who had permission to use the handicapped sticker, but he isn't handicapped at all.  He apologized and promised to move his car, but how many other people are pulling the same scam? Well New Jersey has changed a law that goes into effect on August 1st where people are going to have to re-register with a medical note from a doctor in order to be eligible for parking placards. It's time that people pretending to be handicapped pay up!
