New Jersey Oil Spills

Hoboken, New Jersey (My9NJ) -

Tamara heads to Steven's Institute in Hoboken to find out more about oil spills in New Jersey.  Apparently, after Hurricane Sandy at least 450,000 gallons of oil entered different bodies of water throughout the Garden State. Tamara got a firsthand look at the technology that detects these spills and it shows that this is currently still going on.

This technology is not about preventing spills, but rather tracking it after it happens and where it's going to go. They are also using this technology for chemical spills as well as waste water management.
