Tamara Laine is a documentary filmmaker who has spent the last several years following grass-root community campaigns fighting hunger, water contamination, and education reforms.
She joined the "Chasing New Jersey" team in 2012 to be a part of the next generation of news.
Laine has produced content for HBO, AOL, E!Entertainment, and MTV. Her most recent film, Scratching the Surface, a documentary on the release of genetically modified mosquitoes in a small American town, has been recognized at the international Accolade Film festival as an "outstanding short documentary."
Tamara is a Jacobson/Newcombe scholar at the New School of Social Research, finishing her graduate degree in International Affairs.
Her primary research work has focused on international conflict and security surrounding natural resources.
