Ex-cop HIV case - My9 New Jersey

Ex-cop HIV case

Posted: Updated:
Plainfield, New Jersey (My9NJ) -

Sibile Marcellus chased the story about an ex-police captain from Plainfield, New Jersey who allegedly gave HIV to two ex-girlfriends.  A court recently ruled that medical records could not be used in this case which would have helped prosecutors establish that he did know he was HIV positive before transmitting it to women.

Sibile took her curiosity right to the man's front door and he refused to comment on the situation.  She then went over to the Plainfield Police Station to see if any of his colleagues would be willing to talk about the case to no avail. Under Federal and State Law she was barred from talking to the 2 victim's in this case as well.

The Chasers discuss how this story screams cover up and the question remains whether or not this man knew he had HIV before having sexual relations with these women.  If he did, he could be charged with 3-5 years in state prison. The debate continues in the studio about transmitting other sickness and diseases to people both knowingly and unknowingly.
