LOWER SAUCON TWP., Pa. -

A 26-year-old woman faces a homicide charge in the death of a baby found in the tank of a toilet at a Northampton County pub last week, authorities said Monday.

A criminal complaint has been filed against Amanda C. Hein, of Allentown, Northampton County District Attorney John Morganelli announced at a news conference.

Hein is not yet in custody, but police said they do know where she is.

A cleaning crew made the discovery last Monday morning at Starters Pub in Lower Saucon Township, about 15 miles east of Allentown.

According to Morganelli, the deceased baby – he had called it a "fetus" last week, after the remains were found – was born alive and viable.
