Family Says Rescue Group Helped Find Stolen Dog

Posted: Updated:

A family in Vineland, new jersey can sleep a bit easier tonight, now that their dog Katie is found, thanks to a local rescue group and police.

The bull terrier was stolen from their home earlier this week, along with the family's television and laptop computer.

Police say they have a lead on who the burglar is, but they haven't made any arrest yet.

As of late Saturday night, police were executing a warrant, and the family was expecting to be reunited with their pet soon.

The family said they were just happy to have Katie back. They credited the group Justice Rescue with tracking down their dog.

They say Justice Rescue got a tip that someone had spotted the dog, so the group camped out outside of an apartment where they saw the dog and called police.
