Online Drug Marketplace - My9 New Jersey

Online Drug Marketplace

Posted: Updated:
Trenton, New Jersey (My9NJ) -

A new website is stirring up some controversy for being an online marketplace for illegal drugs. Some are even referring to the website Atlantis Black Market as an “e-Bay” for drugs because of the style in which you can buy things like: heroin, marijuana, and prescription painkillers off of the internet.

The website just put up an announcement stating that they have “terrible news” and that they must close down the site for what they vaguely refer to as “security reasons”.

A local tech expert chimed in on this illegal marketplace saying that he feels there may be 2 reasons why this site is being shut down. One reason being to protect the privacy of the buyer and the people who run the black market or because this website uses very aggressive marketing techniques which includes a commercial that advertises the Atlantis Black Market as your place for drugs.

So with the elimination of this site’s online presence how long until another one opens up? Well, there already happens to be another website that has a similar purpose. This one is called The Silk Road and seems to be thriving without any word of it being shut down.

How are these sites not regulated? Isn’t this a prime example of the trafficking of illicit drugs? And even worse, now parents have to worry about kids having easy access to these drugs online.

Some residents of West New York, New Jersey are happy with their beautiful views of Manhattan, but aren’t too happy about the noise that is coming over from the city. Residents who live at the Hudson Club apartment complex at Port Imperial say that the music that reportedly comes from a new concert hall at Pier 97 across the Hudson River in New York City is affecting their quality of life.
