Hoboken, New Jersey (My9NJ) -

Governor Chris Christie stops by Stevens Institute to announce government funding for new technology at the school.

Christie said that this is an “investment in New Jersey’s economy” and therefore pledged $7.25M in state funds towards Stevens. These funds will be used to enhance technological capability and new technological networks, which will help increase jobs by 2018.

“I am pleased to enhance the technological capability of the Institute of Technology. The money we are spending to enhance the experience here is not an expenditure, it’s an investment. It’s an investment in you, for the future of our state and our country.” Christie said.

Christie also touched based on the Government shutdown and said “Stevens Institute is an example of optimism here coming out of New Jersey, where as the shutdown, most people would take that as pessimistic.”

Should New Jersey towns get into the mortgage business? Two long-time Irvington New Jersey residents, Mary Whetstone and Yves Louis, say that the mortgage crisis in town has gotten out of control and something has to be done. “Every block there’s one or two or three, foreclosures on it. And if it keeps on like this, every house is going to be foreclosed,” Whetstone said.

You’ve seen the Chasers in planes, blimps, boats and often recording in their cars. But have no fear; the Chasers are not putting themselves or fellow motorists at risk by driving and recording themselves at the same time.

Carmageddon, the lord of all traffic nightmares was predicted yesterday morning due to the closure of the northbound Pulaski Skyway. What was supposed to historically be the worst Monday commute ever, thankfully turned out to be just the opposite. Now many motorists are wondering what all the fuss was about.
