New Jersey State Police on Tuesday charged four people in connection with a fight that broke out at MetLife Stadium after the Jets-Patriots game on Sunday, October 20, 2013.

The fight was caught on video, which ended up on YouTube. It shows a woman wearing a Patriots jersey charging a Long Island man in a Jets jersey, who then punches her.

Police charged the man, Kurt Paschke, 38, of Holbrook, N.Y., and the woman, Jaclyn Nugent, 26, of Boston, with simple assault and disorderly conduct, authorities said.

Cops also charged Amanda MacDowell, 25, of Marlborough, Mass., and David James Sacco, 28, of Boston, with simple assault and disorderly conduct.

After reviewing the evidence, detectives determined that MacDowell and Nugent first punched and kicked Paschke in the body and head, and then Paschke punched Nugent in the face, police said. Sacco then hit Paschke in the face, police said.

Paschke's mother, Colleen, told Fox 5 on Monday that her son never meant to hurt anybody and was just defending himself and her. She did admit that her son was convicted of criminally negligent homicide when he was 17 in the stabbing death of a teenager outside a pizzeria. He was sentenced to nearly four years in prison.

"He's very mild-mannered, he does have a past from when he was 17 so he knows that when there is an altercation that you move on, you don't put yourself in that position," Colleen said on Monday. "He was concerned for me and for himself also just to keep going and not make something out of it. But they thought otherwise. They we're the agressors."
