Mystery teens in Ringo Starr's 1964 photo identified

Posted: Updated:

Ringo Starr's search for a group of teenagers who he photographed during the Beatles first trip to America in 1964 may be over.

The picture was taken after the group of teens didn't get in to Kennedy Airport to see the Fab Four. On their way home their car and the Beatles' limo ended up crossing paths.

Ringo snapped a picture of the five teenagers from Fair Lawn, New Jersey. One of them was Gary van Duersen.

"Ringo gave us the international roll down the window sign," Van Duersen said. "He asked where we were from. The guys were shouting back Fair Lawn to which he couldn't understand, so one of the guys held up his jacket that had Fair Lawn written across the back."

The picture is now in Ringo's new book, "Photograph."
