Parsippany, New Jersey (My9NJ) -

The Miss New Jersey USA Pageant was held in Parsippany NJ, from October 19th through October 21st.

The pageant started with 132 contestants who competed in 3 phases of competition: interview, swimsuit and evening gown.

On the final night, the contestants were narrowed down to 16 semi-finalists. After those 16 semi-finalists re-competed in swimsuit and evening gown, the top 5 finalists were selected.

Emily Shah was crowned Miss New Jersey USA. She is 18 years old and is the first Miss NJ USA of Indian-American decent. This was her first time competing for the title.

The folks at Chasing New Jersey gave Shah a second chance to answer the question that she feels she flubbed on during the competition. The question was, “Who would you rather be, the First Lady or the President?” Shah responded with, “If I had the choice I would definitely be President just because I would like the leadership job. If there was one thing I could change as President it would have to be to make education free. We are a country of equal opportunity and that is the most important thing to me is that everybody has an equal opportunity for education to follow their dreams,” she said.

Shah will be competing in the Miss USA pageant in 2014. The date and location are yet to be released.

StubHub, which is a website that provides services for buyers and sellers for tickets to sporting events, concerts, and other live entertainment events, has been hacked. StubHub is getting a lot of bad press, but the site is really the victim here. The hackers have hacked accounts from other sites, and then used that information to get into the StubHub accounts.
