Philly Police: Missing 98-Year-Old Man Dead

PHILADELPHIA -

Philadelphia Police have confirmed that a missing 98-year-old man, Frank Winfrey, died in Roslyn Heights, NY.

Police say that his car collided with a Mack dump truck on Tuesday, October 29th at around 5:40 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. The driver of the truck and his passenger had minor injuries. Detectives are investigating the accident. 

On Monday, October 28, 2013, at approximately 2:30 PM, Frank Winfrey left his residence on the 7100 block of North 19th Street to run some errands, say Philadelphia police. He did not return home and was reported missing.

Frank was operating a burgundy 1995 Chevy Tahoe, according to investigators. He suffers from dementia.
