Posted: Updated:

A new study suggests that women aren't looking for mister right. Rather women want the right partner who we can transform into mister right!

Two-thirds of the women in the British study admitted to trying to change their boyfriend's appearance because they were embarrassed. These women spent more than six months buffing and grooming their man. In fact, more than a third (36 percent) even admitted that they were embarrassed to be seen in public with their boyfriend at the start of their relationship!

68% admit that they improved their partner's appearance. And it was often to look more like the woman's favorite celeb!

The number one celebrity favorite? David Beckham! The women said they also purchased their guy's clothes. In fact, 22% reported worrying about their partner's hair style, 34% about his clothes and 9% about his smell.

Why do women do this? Dr. Simon Moore, from the British Psychological Society says that it's because a man who is willing to change after six months are more likely to cope with anything that life throws at them, including the possibility of having a baby.

This study was done by, which is an Irish shopping site. Approximately 2,000 women were surveyed.
