PHILADELPHIA -

A school bus was involved in an accident in the East Mount Airy section of the city on Monday morning.

FOX 29's Steve Keeley was at the scene on the 6300 block of Ardleigh Street and spoke to police. Police told him a traffic-line-painting truck ran a red light and hit the school bus with children on it.

The bus driver, adult bus monitor and eight kids were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, authorities say. The two people who were in the cab of the truck were also taken to the hospital.

The bus was headed to Houston Elementary when the collision occurred at Ardleigh and Washington Lane.
