Bucks County Police Officer Delivers Baby

NEW BRITAIN TWP., Pa. -

It's a boy! What an entrance into the world!

This beautiful bundle was born Friday at 2:30 a.m. There was no doctor, and no hospital.

He was born at home in a very special delivery.

New Britain Township Police Department Patrolman First-Class Bob Burkhardt was on duty, and got a call of a woman in labor. He rushed to the house.

Burkhardt got there within two minutes and realized that she wasn't going to make it to the hospital. So, he sprang into action.

Congratulations, Officer Burkhardt. You protect lives, save them, and now deliver them! Best wishes to the family also. What a story they will have in the future.
