Woman Dead After Being Hit By NJ Transit Bus

CAMDEN, N.J. -

Police say a 64-year-old woman was hit and killed by a New Jersey transit bus.

The incident happened around 12:45p.m. when she was walking along South Broadway near the intersection of Royden Street when the bus hit her.

At first, people in the area say they didn't know what had happened.

The woman's identity has not been released. Police want to notify her family first.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
