A lot of people are trying "digital detoxes" these days, but for real technology addicts, it is causing a lot of anxiety.
According to a new study by software firm FrontRange, more than half of the people surveyed say that going through a tech detox is as stressful as planning a wedding.
In a study by the same firm, researchers asked seven people to give up their smartphones for a week and record when they felt the need to reach for their phone.
They found that the hardest day to not use a phone was Thursday, followed by Saturday afternoon.
The easiest day was Wednesday.
Also according to the survey of 800 smartphone owners, 71 percent claimed they knew someone who might be addicted to their gadgets.
