Airman Surprises Family For Christmas

GRAND ISLAND, NY -

Santa Claus is making an early special delivery for a family in upstate New York.

The Lostracco kids of Niagara Falls were waiting in line to see Santa at Kelly Gee's Country Store in Grand Island when, all of a sudden, something more came down the chimney.

The dad that they hadn't seen in seven months was right before their eyes.

US Airman Jim Lostracco had been away at Air Force training, but cooked up the holiday homecoming with Santa Claus.

"Things like this. It just makes it all worthwhile. It really does," said Santa.

"I'm probably more nervous than I've ever been in my whole life. I'm pretty excited. I just, I miss holding them. I want to hold them. I want to see them," Lostracco said right before he surprised his family.

"For my dad to come home," was what one of his daughters said was her Christmas wish. It came true for her.

The Lostraccos said first thing on their to-do list was to get a Christmas tree.
