High-profile Philadelphia defense attorney Charles Peruto Sr. has died.
Peruto passed away Tuesday night at his home in Media, surrounded by his family.
Peruto was a dominating criminal defense lawyer in Philadelphia from the 1960s through 2009, when he began winding down his practice.
He represented everyone from politicians, to police, to union workers and mobsters.
Peruto had been sick with cancer and was dealing with heart problems.
He was 86.
