Grandson Pleads Not Guilty In Grandma Shooting

Posted: Updated:
Lodi, New Jersey (My9NJ) - Joseph Bariso has entered a plea of “not guilty” regarding the shooting of his 85 year-old Grandmother, Olga Bariso, while she lay on the couch in her Lodi, New Jersey home.

Joseph was picked up by police early Sunday morning in Rutherford, New Jersey where he was spotted wondering the streets. He is facing multiple charges including attempted murder and is being held on $2 million bail.

At this time, Olga remains in critical condition as she continues to fight for her life at Hackensack University medical Center.

Neighbors of Olga are shocked to hear that her grandson was the person allegedly behind the shooting. Tonya Guber describes the kind of person that Joe is.

“Joe would always come to my house and he’s a very quiet person. A very nice person, I never had no problem,” she said.

The Sheriff's office is still investigating the crime scene at the Bariso home.
