Steve Weatherford's 5-minute workout

Posted: Updated:
MYFOXNY.COM - NY Giants punter Steve Weatherford is no stranger to Good Day NY. He was in the house on Friday co-hosting the 9 a.m. hour.

The incredibly fit Weatherford talked about his determination to stay in shape during and after the football season.

"I love to work out. You envision yourself as a sports car. You want to put into it high octane so you want to eat well. For me, I don't really do any treadmills or any cardio," said Weatherford.

The always upbeat Weatherford created a five-minute workout just about anyone can do at home.

Steve Weatherford's 'Take 5 with #5'

Bulgarian split squats -- 15 reps each leg
Plank oblique crunches-- 15 each side
Side lunges (carry your baby or weights)-- 15 each leg
Mountain climbers-- 15 each leg
Reverse crunches -- 15 reps

"Take five minutes out of your day, five times during the day. You'll get a 25-35 minute workout; no need to go to the gym," said Weatherford.
