NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) - New York state police say a Mercy Flight helicopter fell off of a tractor-trailer after the truck crashed into the median of the Thruway in western New York.

Troopers say the truck was in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 90 when it crashed and overturned around 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Genesee County town of Pembroke, 25 miles east of Buffalo.

The truck and the helicopter came to rest in the snow-covered median. No injuries were reported.

Troopers say the cause of the accident is being investigated.  They released photos of the scene, including the damaged helicopter being loaded onto another truck trailer.
