High Profile Governor - My9 New Jersey

High Profile Governor

Posted: Updated:
Trenton, New Jersey (My9NJ) - Governor Christie's profile continues to increase now that he's being considered for a Presidential run.

He recently engaged in a twitter debate with the fictional twitter handle of Will McAvoy from HBO's “The Newsroom”.

The tweeting got a little heated with the Governor insulting the fictional character and they show.

Along with his bully image, some are saying that the Governor's high profile is creating more problems for him as people see his brash personality.

In other Christie news, the governor sent out Christmas cards to a bunch of Republican’s in Iowa. The interesting thing about this is that the people who got the cards had never met him or previously been on his Christmas card list before. Some question whether or not this is just another step he’s taking to move forward with a possible presidential campaign.

NJ.com Senior Reporter Darryl Isherwood joined this discussion.

“They (the Christmas cards) were actually paid for by the State Republican Committee. I talked to the spokesman yesterday and he said, look, we sent out cards to everybody. You know there was a huge hodgepodge of people and anybody, former donors or staffers got them,” he said.

Christie has been getting a lot of political pressure lately with things like bridgegate where it could end up hurting his chances at a presidential bid.

“If there is a connection made between David Wildstein ordering the lane diversions and the front office in anyway. That is big, it’s going to come crashing down,” Isherwood said.

StubHub, which is a website that provides services for buyers and sellers for tickets to sporting events, concerts, and other live entertainment events, has been hacked. StubHub is getting a lot of bad press, but the site is really the victim here. The hackers have hacked accounts from other sites, and then used that information to get into the StubHub accounts.
